Meet the Coach: A Life of Creativity

Marcus is the author of a book entitled “How to Write About Design (and Why You Should)”.

Marcus has graduate qualifications in Design and Architecture, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Sustainability & Environmental Design. He has completed post-graduate study in Digital Communications Strategy and has a Certificate in Business Coaching.

Marcus taught design at RMIT University and the University of Melbourne for more than a decade. He is the Design Director of Baumgart Clark Architects, which he runs with fellow director John Clark. Marcus has worked with non-profits across Australia and the United Kingdom, in particular tackling solutions for homelessness and the housing crisis with creativity, empathy & insight.

Marcus created Baumgart Coaching as a way of sharing nearly 30 years of creative education and journalism. He loves nothing more than collaborating with clever people and thrives on dialogue.
